BOCI and its predecessor company, China Development Finance Company (HK), have been providing M&A services since 1993 and have completed M&A transactions with an aggregate volume exceeding HK$ 560 billion.
BOCI advises international and PRC corporations in buy-side acquisitions. Some of the completed transactions include: Pacific Century Cyber Works’ acquisition of Cable & Wireless HKT Limited in 2000; Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation’ s RMB 21.4 billion landmark acquisition of the automotive and related production assets from Shanghai Automobile Group Co. in 2006 which was the largest restructuring transaction in the Chinese Automotive industry to date. In the same year, BOCI assisted the Bank of China in its acquisition of Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise Pte Ltd, completed through a competitive bidding process.
At the same time, BOCI performs as a reliable financial advisor to Chinese enterprises in sell side mandates as well as introducing overseas strategic investors. Recent sell-side examples include the RMB 24.1 billion concurrent asset restructuring and sale of 85.6% equity interest in Guangdong Development Bank to a Citigroup led investor consortium. It helped Shenzhen International Trust & Investment Co Ltd to introduce China Resources Group as a strategic investor, and further supported in the sale of Shijiazhuang Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd to Legend Holdings Ltd.
BOCI advised on over HK$ 73 billion of M&A transactions from 2006 and 2007.
