BOCI-Prudential Asset Management Limited (“BOCI-Prudential”) was jointly established by BOCI Group and Prudential Corporation Holdings Limited. As at the end of June 2007, BOCI-Prudential has over HK$33 billion in assets under management.
BOCI-Prudential offers a comprehensive range of investment products, including Hong Kong Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme, pension funds, retail unit trusts, institutional mandates and other advisory funds. It offers private investors and institutional clients investment portfolios and charity fund management services. As one of the pioneers in the asset management industry, BOCI-Prudential provides innovative products, including a series of capital guaranteed funds linked to various underlying indices or basket of stocks with varying currencies and maturities, and a series of open-ended funds for the general public.
To further widen our investment product spectrum, BOCI-Prudential launched its Hong Kong Stock Exchange Traded Fund under the World Index Shares ETFs series - W.I.S.E. – CSI 300 China TrackerTM (2827 HK) in July 2007. This ETF aims at tracking the CSI 300 Index and is the first ETF product launched in relation to stock markets in Mainland China. It offers overseas investors an effective channel to access to the A-share market. The CSI 300 Index is compiled and managed by the China Securities Index Co. Ltd, a joint venture between the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges. In April 2006, the Index was selected as the benchmark index of the China Financial Futures. In view of the acceptance of the Index and the eagerness of overseas investors to invest in Mainland China, this fund has the potential to become one of the most popular China ETF products. |
