Analyst - Equity Capital Markets ("ECM")

BOCI is looking for a select number of highly motivated college graduates (or fresh graduate in 2010), who have a strong work ethic and a desire to work in capital markets industry. By joining BOCI, your career in capital markets and investment banking is quickly given a significant boost. The exposure to senior level clients, top level finance professionals and a top transaction Investment Bank will give the graduate who joins a tremendous experience in the world of finance. As an entry level professional joining the BOCI ECM team, the candidate will be responsible for:

assisting in a variety of professional presentations, updates, analysis and client support and services;
learning and understanding valuation of companies and comparable companies;
learning and assisting in origination and execution of equity transactions;
working closely with all professionals in both ECM and other departments (Investment Banking, Equity Sales, Trading and Research, etc); and
taking on more responsibility quickly and working thoughtfully and efficiently on other duties as assigned

Minimum Job Requirements:

Outstanding academic record (i.e. GPA at 3.5 or above) at bachelor degree or above in any discipline;
Posses a high level of analytical and numerical skill sets;
A genuine interest in investment banking, capital markets or securities industry overall;
Smart, efficient and team player with commitment in capital markets industry;
Ability to achieve results and complete a wide range of responsibilities;
Outstanding professional communication skills;
Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua

对整体投资银行业务, 资本市场或证券市场业务/领域具浓厚兴趣;

头脑灵活、有效率、具团队合作精神及有志投身于证券资本市场业务者;

具备达成目标的奋斗心及有能力完成多项不同范畴的职责;

具备杰出的专业沟通技能;

具有优秀的中英语文(包括普通话)的沟通(听说及读写)能力

Job Responsibilities:

Provide professional service to clients and take instructions timely and accurately (e.g. handle share transfer issue, update account opening list, assist on updating client database, etc) if required;
Provide support to the supervisor to maintain good relationship with existing corporate clients;
Such other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Minimum Job Requirements:

Degree holder in business, IT, languages related disciplines or equivalent;
Exposure or understanding in China market an advantage;

Quality Assurance

Quality Assurance Officer/ Assistant - Brokerage Business (Analyst/ Entry Level)

Job Responsibilities:

Perform trade surveillance for the front sales office;
Develop, maintain and execute a quality assurance programme for the front sales office;
Provide recommendation to improve and streamline the operation flow of the front sales office;
Assist the Department Head to monitor the operational risks

Minimum Job Requirements:

Degree holder in business, accounting, law or related disciplines;

A minimum of one year of relevant experience in brokerage firm; exposure in MNC/ regulatory bodies/ investment/ brokerage industry preferred;

Prior experience as quality assurance/ compliance/ internal audit/ sales assistant in investment/ brokerage industry an advantage;

Team player, good advisory and communication skills;

Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, able to communicate in Putonghua
